Description

The Ronda pendant is a dome of matt white aluminium, rounded at the crown and falling to an open rim, with a set of ridged bands running just above the edge. It measures 30cm tall and 33cm across, a generous size that holds its own without crowding a room. It takes one E27 lamp, and the wide open base sends its light downwards to pool on whatever sits beneath. The fitting hangs on a 1.5m textile cable from an 8cm canopy, and it is a simple on-off fitting that works from an ordinary light switch.

We like it best over a dining table, where the downward light falls across the tabletop, or hung in a row of two or three above a long table. It suits a hallway or landing too, and a bedroom, where one pendant gives a calm pool of light. Its clean outline and soft matt white finish sit comfortably in modern and Scandinavian-style rooms, alongside pale timber, linen and plain painted walls.
