Description

The Roma Cone Wall Light is a modern wall light that carries a single cone shade out into the room on a long, slim arm. Its conical shade is coral aluminium, hanging on a short rod from the tip of the arm. The arm and the large round disc that sits flat against the wall form a matt black iron structure, with a fine wire running from the disc to the end of the arm. It comes in two sizes, 60cm and 120cm: the 60cm has a 35cm disc and a 21cm shade, while the 120cm has a 49cm disc and a 33cm shade. Either size takes one GX53 lamp.

Because the arm holds the shade well out from the wall, it lights a spot out in the room without needing a ceiling point: over a reading chair, beside a sofa, at the end of a sideboard or above a desk. The 60cm, with its smaller disc and shade, sits beside a bed or in a study; the 120cm, with its larger disc and shade, holds its own on a broad living room or dining room wall. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The clean lines suit a modern home, and the coral shade adds a warm note of colour to plain walls.

The materials are an iron structure, an aluminium shade and opal glass, and the coral shade sits against matt black on the arm and disc for a crisp contrast.
