Description

The Roi is a compact flush light that fixes to a ceiling or to a wall, built around a ribbed glass dome set against a flat black disc. The shade is transparent fumé glass, a softly smoked tone, with fine ribs that run from the crown down to the rim and catch the light when it is on. Behind it sits a brass base finished in black, with a 15cm disc that frames the glass. The shade is 12cm across and 8.5cm tall, and the base is 10cm across and 2cm high, so the fitting sits close to the surface with no stem. It takes one G9 lamp, and we recommend a G9 LED.

The fitting gives you a choice of where it goes. On a ceiling it suits a short hallway, a landing or a box room where a pendant would hang too low; on a wall it sits beside a doorway, at the turn of a stair or either side of a bed. A pair on a bedroom wall, or a short row along a corridor ceiling, repeats the ribbed dome to good effect. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only: living rooms, bedrooms, studies and hallways. The modern lines and smoked glass sit happily in a contemporary scheme, and its small size means it never crowds a compact room.
