Description

Our Roi wall light is a single arm fitting in black, with a ribbed dome of opal white glass hanging from a short stem at the end of its arm. A round black backplate sits on the wall, a slim horizontal arm reaches out from it, and a small black disc caps the shade, so the light hangs clear of the wall rather than pressed against it. The base is brass and the shade is glass, finished in black with opal white glass. The shade is 12cm across and 9.5cm tall, a compact size for a wall light. It has one G9 lamp holder, and we recommend a G9 LED lamp; the opal glass diffuses the lamp's light, and the fluted ribs give the dome a softly lined glow.

It is a modern wall light for dry rooms indoors. Rated IP20, it belongs in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, landings and studies rather than anywhere damp. A pair either side of a bed makes a neat set of bedside lights and frees up the bedside table, while a row along a hallway gives soft light at eye level. It sits comfortably beside a dressing table mirror, or flanking a fireplace or sideboard in a living room. The small shade suits narrower spaces where a larger fitting would crowd the wall.
