Description

Our Rodi 2 light linear wall light is a long, straight bar of iron in matt black, 146cm tall and projecting just 7.5cm from the wall. Its two GU10 lamp holders send light up and down the wall from both ends of the bar, so the rod itself reads as a clean, dark vertical line between two soft washes of light. GU10 is a common lamp cap, so replacements are easy to find. The fitting works on an ordinary on-off switch rather than a dimmer, which keeps it simple to live with.

With so little depth, it suits places where a deeper fitting would be in the way: a hallway, a landing, a stairwell wall, beside a tall window or either side of an archway, where its height draws the eye upwards. In a living room or dining room, one bar gives a plain wall a tall line of light. A pair framing a doorway, mirror or sideboard gives a balanced, architectural look that suits modern interiors. It also works in a bedroom, set beside a wardrobe or in a narrow gap between furniture. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The structure is iron, finished in matt black, a soft, low sheen colour that sits as comfortably against white or grey plaster as it does alongside warm wood, black metal chairs and natural textiles. It runs on 220-240V mains, and as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 3 year guarantee.
