Description

Our Rock light is a neat drum of alabaster on a black aluminium base, made to fix flush to a ceiling or to a wall. It comes in two sizes. The 9cm size is 7.5cm tall and 9cm across, with a 5cm tall alabaster shade on a base 7cm across. The 14cm size is 7.5cm tall and 13.5cm across, with a 5cm tall alabaster shade on a base 10cm across. Both sizes run on a 4W integrated LED giving 350 lumens, so there is no bulb to fit or replace, and the light passes out through the stone in every direction, with a 360 degree beam angle.

Because it sits against the surface with no stem, it suits low ceilings, hallways and landings where a pendant would be in the way. On a wall it gives a quiet light beside a bed, along a corridor or either side of a doorway. We offer it in two colour temperatures: 2700K for a warmer, cosier white in bedrooms and living rooms, or 3000K for a slightly crisper white in a hallway or study. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It is switched on and off and is not dimmable, so there is no dimmer to match, and it suits anyone who wants a steady, simple glow.

The base is aluminium in a black finish and the shade is alabaster, a natural stone with gentle veining, so the light comes through soft and even. With a colour rendering index of 85 or more, colours in the room look true under it. It runs on 220 to 240V mains, it is for a qualified electrician to install, and it carries a 5 year guarantee. Fit a pair either side of a bed or doorway, or set a row along a hallway ceiling, and choose the 14cm size where you want a little more presence.
