Description

Our Rock table lamp is a small cylinder in two stacked parts: an alabaster shade sitting on a black marble base, both cylindrical and the same width. It stands 19cm tall and 8.5cm across, and the base and the shade are each 9.5cm tall, so the white stone fills the top half and the dark marble the bottom. Inside, one E27 lamp holder takes a standard large screw cap lamp, which leaves you a wide choice of bulbs. When it is on, the light passes through the alabaster and brings out the cloudy veining in the stone, so the shade itself becomes the glow.

At 8.5cm across it needs very little room, so it sits happily on a bedside table, a narrow shelf, a hallway console or a desk where a larger lamp would crowd things. It is just as much at home on a dining table, where its 19cm height keeps it low enough to talk over, and it suits restaurants, bars and hotel rooms that want a small point of light on every table. The 2m textile cable gives you some reach to the nearest socket. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
