Description

The Rocio is a 96cm gold bar pendant with five bubble-filled glass drops suspended on adjustable cables from a linear canopy. Each teardrop-shaped shade is cast from solid glass with trapped air bubbles throughout, creating a refractive pattern when the integrated 25W 3000K LED illuminates the glass from within. The gold finish on the metal canopy and fittings provides a warm metallic accent that contrasts with the clear glass.

Designed for installation above kitchen islands, dining tables and hallway runs, the Rocio suits spaces 2.5-3.5m wide where distributed task and ambient light is needed along a linear path. The suspension cables are individually adjustable during installation, allowing each drop to be set at different heights to follow a sloped ceiling or create a staggered visual rhythm. The maximum drop of 145cm and minimum drop of 30cm accommodate ceiling heights from 2.4m to above 4m.

The bubble-filled glass is a casting technique where air is deliberately trapped during the pour, giving each shade an organic, irregular pattern that differs slightly between pieces. The dimmable LED allows the light level to be reduced from full task brightness to low ambient glow using a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer. At 6.8kg total weight the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or noggin rather than direct plasterboard fixings.
