Description

Roberta is a matt black LED pendant light in the form of an open ring: a slim band of aluminium with a break in its circle, lit all the way round its underside through a silicone diffuser. The light is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. It gives a warm white 3000K glow with a colour rendering index of 90 or more, so colours look true. It comes in three sizes: the 50cm ring at 20W and 3200 lumens, the 65cm ring at 30W and 4800 lumens, and the 80cm ring at 40W and 6400 lumens.

It is DALI dimmable, so it needs a DALI control system or DALI dimmer rather than an ordinary wall dimmer. That makes it a natural choice for homes and projects already wired for DALI. Rated IP20, it belongs in dry rooms: over a dining table, above a sofa in a living room, in a hallway or bedroom, or in a reception area or office where a clean modern shape suits. The 50cm ring sits comfortably over a small table or in a compact room. The 65cm and 80cm rings have the presence to anchor a larger dining table or an open plan living space.

The structure is aluminium in a matt black finish, with a silicone diffuser that softens the LEDs into an even line of light. It hangs from a round ceiling canopy on three fine suspension wires, with a 2m textile cable carrying the power. It runs on 220 to 240V and carries a 5 year guarantee. As a mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install. Matt black reads crisply against pale walls and light timber, and the gap in the ring gives a simple circle a little movement, so try two sizes hung together at staggered heights for a relaxed, layered look.
