Description

The Knightsbridge RJ45 network outlet provides a single shuttered CAT5e Ethernet port behind a brushed brass flat plate with a 2.5mm projection from the wall. The outlet uses IDC terminals for tool-free cable termination (termination tool included) and carries a built-in gasket that seals the plate edge against the wall surface, reducing dust ingress around the aperture.

Designed for residential and commercial Ethernet installations, the outlet suits home offices, living rooms, bedrooms and meeting rooms where wired network connectivity is preferred over Wi-Fi for reliability or speed. The 87.5mm square faceplate fits standard UK single-gang back boxes with a minimum 35mm depth, and the flat plate design sits closer to the wall than traditional raised or curved faceplates. The shuttered port closes when no cable is connected, preventing dust and foreign objects entering the termination chamber.

The brushed brass finish provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with traditional, classical and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The steel construction is certified to BS 5733 for cable distribution systems, and the faceplate carries an IP20 rating for indoor use. A write-on designation label on the rear allows installers to mark the port for identification during commissioning or maintenance.

What back box depth is required?

A 35mm minimum back box depth is needed to accommodate the outlet mechanism and cable termination. The 2.5mm projection of the faceplate is measured from the wall surface once the back box is flush-mounted.

Is the termination tool included?
