Description
A set of four hanging decorations in the shape of a five-pointed star, each 8cm across the points and 4cm deep. The stars are blown glass with a pillowed face rather than a flat one, and the whole surface is crusted with chips of glass that break the light into points instead of an even shine. Each one carries a dark antiqued metal cap at the top point with a ring through it, and a wide green velvet ribbon knotted through the ring.
At 8cm across the points and only 4cm deep, a star reads as a face from the front and loses its shape side on, so it belongs at the front of a branch rather than deep in one. Four will cover a garland along a mantelpiece, a wreath, or a cut branch in a jug. The ribbon loops over the branch and knots at the top, so no hook is needed.
Every star is recycled glass. The sparkle is not glitter: chips of recycled glass are pressed onto the surface, which is what gives the granular, broken light rather than a flat shine. Each one is hand finished, so the crust sits differently on every star and the silver beneath shows through unevenly, and the four in a set will not match. The ribbon is velvet, knotted at the top rather than sewn into a loop.

Frequently Asked
How many stars come in a set?
Four. Each is 8cm across the points and 4cm deep.
Is the sparkle glitter?
No. Chips of recycled glass are pressed onto the surface instead, which is what gives the broken, granular light.
What does it hang from?
A wide green velvet ribbon, knotted through a ring in the metal cap. It loops straight over a branch without a hook.
Will the four match?
No. Each one is hand finished, so the crust of glass chips sits differently on every star.
How should Christmas baubles be stored?
Wipe away any dust that has built up with a dry, soft cloth before they go away, and handle them with care. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners off the finish. They are for indoor use.
