Rita is a disc pendant light that pairs a tall cylinder of porous concrete with a copper-finished iron head. The concrete is charcoal in colour and keeps its natural pitting, so the surface carries small pores and marks that give it real texture. A thin copper disc rings the base of the column, just above the head, and breaks its long line. The fitting is 41cm tall and hangs from an 8cm canopy on a 1.5m textile cable. It takes one GU10 lamp, and because GU10 is a widely used cap, lamps for it are easy to find in a choice of colour temperatures.

We think Rita looks its best over a dining table, a bar counter or a desk, where its concrete texture can be seen up close. Its slim, cylindrical shape takes up little visual space, so it suits a smaller room, a bedside in place of a table lamp, or a hallway where a wide shade would crowd the ceiling. Hung in a row of two or three, it gives a long table a neat, modern line. The modern, industrial look sits naturally with exposed brick, dark timber, raw plaster and leather, and the copper head adds warmth against grey and black. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is an on-off fitting that works from your ordinary light switch.
