The Rita is a slim pendant light built around a column of porous concrete, with an iron head in a matt polished brass finish at its base and a thin disc set where the two meet. The concrete is dark grey and textured, with small open pores across its surface, so it reads as a solid, industrial piece beside the soft sheen of the brass. The fitting is 41cm tall and hangs from a 1.5m textile cable, with an 8cm canopy at the ceiling. It has one GU10 lamp holder, a widely used cap, and it is a switched fitting, so it works from an ordinary on and off switch rather than a dimmer.

Its narrow profile suits places where a wide shade would crowd the space: over a dining table, beside the bed in place of a bedside lamp, above a desk or in an entrance hall. One works well on its own, and two or three hung in a row make a striking line over a table or a sideboard.
