Description

Rita is a slim cylindrical pendant light with an honest industrial character: a tall column of porous concrete in matt black, an iron head at its foot and a thin copper disc between the two. The porous concrete has small open pits across its surface, giving it a rough, tactile texture, while the copper edge brings a warm line to all that black. It is 41cm tall, hangs on a 1.5m textile cable from an 8cm ceiling canopy, and takes one GU10 lamp in its iron head.

We like it best where one slim pendant earns its place: over a bedside table in place of a table lamp, above a desk or reading chair, or lighting a hallway or landing. Hung in a line of several over a dining table or breakfast bar, the tall columns read as a group with real presence. The matt black concrete suits modern and industrial interiors, from exposed brick and steel to plain painted walls and warm oak. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The structure is porous concrete, the head is iron and the cable is textile, so the industrial look comes from real materials rather than a printed effect.
