The Rio Wall Light is a clean, modern wall light with a deep dome shade carried on a short straight arm from a round wall plate. Its structure is iron, finished in green, so the shade, arm and plate read as one simple piece of colour against the wall. The rounded top of the dome curves down to an open base, which directs the light downwards. We sell it in three sizes, 9cm, 12cm and 16cm, so you can choose the scale that suits your wall and the space around it.

Its pared-back, Scandinavian look suits a modern home and sits comfortably in calm, simply furnished rooms. We like it beside a bed in a bedroom, along a hallway, corridor or landing, or either side of a sofa or a fireplace in a living room. The 9cm size fits neatly into tight spots, such as beside a narrow bed or at the turn of a stair; the 12cm size is a comfortable middle choice for most walls; and the 16cm size has more presence on a broad wall or in a larger room, and works well in a hotel-style bedroom. It is an indoor fitting, made for use inside the home.

The structure is iron, and the green finish runs evenly over the shade, the arm and the wall plate alike, so nothing breaks the line. There is no fuss in the design: one dome, one arm, one round plate.
