Description

The Rio Single Arm Wall Light is a modern wall light with a pendant's habit. A slim iron arm reaches out from a rectangular backplate and, at its far end, a dark textile cable drops to a dome shade on a short stem. The fitting is red from backplate to shade, so it reads as one clean line of colour against the wall. It stands 46cm tall, and the dome shade is 16cm across and 15cm tall, a compact size that keeps the light directed downwards. It takes one GX53 lamp, so the warmth and brightness of its light come down to the lamp in it.

Because the shade hangs out from the wall rather than sitting flat against it, this is a good choice where you want light over one spot without a floor lamp or a ceiling point: beside an armchair in a living room, next to a bed, or over a desk in a study. A pair either side of a bed or a sofa works well too. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, which suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and landings.
