Description

This is a single arm wall light from our Rio range, finished in blue, that brings the look of a pendant to a wall. A long, straight arm reaches out from a slim rectangular backplate, and from its far end a dark textile cable drops to a short rod and a rounded dome shade, so the light hangs in the air rather than sitting flat against the wall. The fitting is 46cm tall, and the dome shade is 16cm across and 15cm tall. It takes one GX53 lamp and runs on 220-240V, working from an ordinary on-off switch rather than a dimmer.

Because the shade hangs out from the wall, it puts light where a pendant would, with no ceiling point needed. It suits a bedside where floor space is tight, the corner beside a favourite reading chair or the wall beside a sofa, and it works just as well above a sideboard or a console table in a hallway or dining room. Its clean, modern lines sit happily in a family home and suit a home office, a café or a shop too. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The structure is iron, finished in blue from the backplate along the arm to the dome shade, and a textile cable carries the drop from the arm, giving a softer, tailored line where it falls. It carries a 3 year guarantee. As a mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install.
