Description

The Rio Linear 5 Light Chandelier is a long, low fitting: a straight iron bar 120cm wide, with five dome shades hanging beneath it in a single row. The whole piece is finished in terracotta, a warm, earthy colour that brings softness to a modern room, and it is just 14cm tall, so it reads as one slim line rather than the tiers of a traditional chandelier. Each shade is 12cm across and holds its own GX53 lamp holder, giving five points of light spread evenly along the bar. It works from a simple on and off switch rather than a dimmer, and runs on 220-240V mains.

Its length makes it a natural choice over a long dining table, where the five shades share the light along the full run of the table instead of pooling it in the middle. It also suits a long desk in a home office or a sideboard in a living room, anywhere a single central pendant would leave the ends of a surface in shadow. The look sits comfortably in modern and Scandinavian interiors, and the terracotta pairs well with oak, linen, warm whites and green plants. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
