The Rio flush ceiling light is a single iron dome in a warm terracotta finish, fixed directly against the ceiling on a small round canopy with no stem. It stands 17cm tall and 16cm wide, with an 8cm canopy, so it is a compact fitting that keeps a neat line overhead. Its light comes from one GX53 lamp holder inside the dome, and the open base sends that light down into the room. The rounded profile is simple and solid, with a clean edge at the rim and nothing fussy about it.

Because it fixes flush to the ceiling with no stem, the Rio keeps headroom free, which makes it a sensible choice for hallways, landings, bedrooms and smaller living rooms. It is rated IP20, so it belongs in dry rooms only. The terracotta colour brings an earthy warmth that sits well with modern and Scandinavian interiors, pale timber, linen and white walls, and it gives a plain ceiling a soft point of colour without taking over the room.
