Description

Our Rio 9 flush ceiling light sets three rounded dome shades in a neat row beneath a long, flat backplate, the whole fitting finished in warm terracotta. The domes are smooth and deep, with open rims facing down into the room, and the slim plate keeps everything close to the ceiling. It is built on an iron structure and has a clean, modern outline with no fuss or ornament. It has a GX53 lamp holder, so choose a lamp with a GX53 cap, and it runs on 220-240V mains. It is not a dimmable fitting: it works from a standard on-off wall switch.

Because it fixes flush to the ceiling, with no stem, it is a good answer for rooms where headroom is limited: a landing, a hallway, a loft bedroom or a living room with a low ceiling. Its long, linear shape also lines up well over a dining table, along a corridor or above a desk in a study. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
