Description

The Rio 9 is a blue ceiling light for rooms where you want colour overhead without a fitting that hangs down into the space. Three dome shades sit in a row beneath a long, slim canopy plate, so the whole piece reads as one low, tidy line across the ceiling. The structure is iron and the finish is a solid blue throughout, plate and shades alike. It is made for the GX53 lamp cap, so check that cap against the lamps you already keep, and it runs on 220-240V mains.

Because it fixes flush to the ceiling, with no stem, it keeps headroom where rooms are low: a hallway, a landing, a bedroom or a cosy living room with a modest ceiling height. The row of shades makes it a good fit over a long surface too, such as a dining table, a sideboard or a desk, where a single pendant would light only the middle.
