The Rio 9 Circular Chandelier is a wide ring of light in a warm terracotta finish. A slim iron ring, 79cm across and just 9.5cm tall, carries a series of dome shades, each 9cm wide, that hang beneath it and open downwards over the room. Fine suspension wires hold the ring level from a 14cm ceiling canopy, and a 2m textile cable carries the power. It runs on 220-240V mains and takes GX53 lamps, the flat, low-profile lamp type that suits shades this compact.

This is a chandelier for a room with space around it. At 79cm across, the ring sits well over a round or large square dining table, where its circle of shades echoes the shape of the table, or at the centre of a generous living room or open-plan dining area. The terracotta brings an earthy warmth that suits modern and Scandinavian interiors, and it pairs well with pale oak, linen, limewashed walls and soft whites.
