Description

The Rio 9 is a circular chandelier: a single iron ring, 79cm across, with small domed shades hung around it on fine suspension wires, each shade 9cm wide. The whole fitting is just 9.5cm tall, so it reads as an open halo of light rather than a heavy centrepiece, and the matt black finish keeps its outline crisp against a pale ceiling. The shades open downwards, pooling light on the table or floor beneath them. Power runs through a 2m textile cable to a 14cm ceiling canopy. Its lamp holders take the GX53 cap, and it works on a simple on-off switch rather than a dimmer.
