The Rio is a mushroom table lamp: a rounded dome shade on a slim, straight stem, finished all over in a warm terracotta. It stands 50cm tall. The 16cm shade is 15cm high and sits above a flat, round 19cm base that keeps the lamp steady on a table, sideboard or bedside cabinet. It has two G9 lamp holders, so it takes two small G9 lamps rather than a single larger bulb, and it works on a simple on-off switch, so there is no dimmer to match.

Its modern, Scandinavian lines and narrow footprint make it an easy fit wherever surface space is tight: a bedside table, a desk in a study, a hallway console or a bookshelf in the living room. A pair either side of a bed, or at each end of a sofa table, gives a matching, balanced look. The 2m textile cable gives you a useful reach to the nearest socket, and the lamp runs on 220-240V mains.
