The Ring is a 4-light circular pendant built around a 40cm brass hoop supporting four frosted white glass globe shades, each housing a G9 bulb fitting rated at up to 25W per lamp. The brass frame suspends from a matching canopy via a height-adjustable cable system, allowing drop adjustment between 28cm and 178cm on installation.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls, the Ring provides distributed ambient light through the frosted glass diffusers while the circular brass frame acts as a geometric anchor above the lit area. The four globes are positioned asymmetrically around the hoop, two sit higher on the ring, two hang lower beneath, creating visual balance without strict symmetry. The adjustable drop allows positioning 70-80cm above a dining surface in standard 2.4m ceiling rooms, or closer to the ceiling in taller spaces.

The brass finish shows as warm gold with a low-polish surface that softens reflections compared to high-gloss brass. Each frosted glass globe is 10cm diameter, providing diffusion without complete opacity, the G9 capsule bulb outline remains faintly visible through the glass when lit. The metal construction and IP20 rating suit dry indoor locations only.

The Ring pairs well with warm-toned interiors, walnut or oak dining furniture, and rooms where brass accents already appear in handles, taps or cabinet detailing. The white glass globes provide neutral contrast against the brass without introducing strong colour. Four G9 bulbs at 25W each deliver 100W total output, sufficient for a 6-8 seat dining table when paired with warm-white LED G9s at 2700K-3000K.

What bulbs does it take?

The Ring takes four G9 capsule bulbs, each rated at up to 25W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this fitting with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 2.5-4W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining light.

Can the height be adjusted after installation?

The height is set during installation by adjusting the cable length through the canopy mechanism. Once installed, changing the drop height requires accessing the canopy fixing and re-threading the cable, which typically means isolating power and partially dismantling the ceiling mount.

What dining table size does it suit?

The 40cm circular frame sits comfortably above a 4-6 seat rectangular table (120-160cm length) or a round table up to 120cm diameter. For larger 8-seat tables, two Ring pendants spaced 80-100cm apart provide more even coverage than a single fitting.

Is the brass finish lacquered?

Maytoni brass finishes are typically lacquered to prevent tarnishing. The surface can be cleaned with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive polishes or chemical sprays that may damage the protective coating.
