Description

The Rimini is a small LED pendant light with a conical shade in matt white, hung from a black textile cable. Its structure is iron, and the shade measures 7cm tall and 8cm across, with an 8cm canopy at the ceiling. The light is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit. It draws 4.5W and gives 600 lumens through a 45 degree beam, which throws a focused pool of light downwards rather than lighting the whole room. It comes in two colour temperatures, 3000K or 2700K, so you can choose the slightly crisper white or the warmer, softer one. A CRI of 90 or more keeps colours, wood and skin tones looking true under it.

We like it where a small, close light does more than a big one: hung low over a bedside table in place of a table lamp, in a row over a dining table, or above a desk or a favourite reading chair. Its clean cone and plain white finish sit comfortably in modern and Scandinavian rooms, and it is just as at home in a hallway or on a landing. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It works on an ordinary on-off switch and is not dimmable, so it is best where you want one steady level of light.

The iron structure is finished in matt white, and the shade hangs from a 1.5m black textile cable, which gives a generous length between ceiling and shade. It runs on 220-240V mains, and as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 5 year guarantee. For styling, hang it so the white cone sits just above your eyeline when you are seated, and let the dark cable draw a fine line down from the ceiling against pale walls or warm timber.
