Description

The Rimini is a compact LED pendant light with a conical shade in matt white, hung from a black textile cable. Its structure is iron and its light is integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit. The shade is 7cm tall and 8cm across, with an 8cm canopy at the ceiling and 1.5m of cable. The LED draws 4.5W and gives 600 lumens through a 45° beam, which gathers the light into a focused pool rather than spreading it across the room. It comes in a choice of two colour temperatures, 3000K or 2700K: 2700K is the warmer, cosier white, and 3000K is a little crisper. A CRI of 90 or more means colours, food and skin tones look natural beneath it.

Because it is so small, the Rimini is at its best hung low or used in multiples. A row over a dining table, a pair either side of a bed, or a single drop above a desk or reading chair all suit its narrow beam. The plain cone and smooth matt finish sit easily in a modern interior. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only: living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways and studies. It is DALI dimmable: dimming needs a DALI control system or a DALI dimmer, which makes it a natural choice for a home or office already wired for DALI lighting control.

The iron structure has a smooth matt white finish, and the textile cable runs in black, a fine dark line that sets off the white cone against a pale ceiling. It carries a 5 year guarantee. As a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install. For styling, hang three at slightly staggered heights over a long table or a counter, and let the small white cones read as a quiet, graphic group.
