Description

We stock the Rim as a circular wall light with a matt black aluminium frame and an integrated 23W LED. The LED sits on a base plate at the foot of the ring and casts light forward and up through the centre, giving 500 lumens of warm white (3000K) with a colour rendering of 80. It reads as accent and ambient lighting rather than a task light, so the clean geometric shape does the work while the glow stays soft.

It suits hallways, living rooms and bedrooms where we want a gentle wash rather than a bright pool over a desk or counter. The wide 120 degree beam angle spreads light across the surrounding wall without harsh spotting, and the matt black finish keeps reflections down so it settles into darker walls and monochrome schemes. The IP20 rating means it is for dry indoor rooms, so we would keep it away from bathrooms or anywhere with open steam.

The Rim runs on 220-240V AC mains and the integrated LED is dimmable on most standard trailing-edge and leading-edge dimmers, so we can take it from full output down to a low evening glow. The aluminium build keeps it light while holding the ring rigid, and it fits onto standard UK back boxes with the cable concealed behind the base plate. Its energy rating is class G.

Frequently Asked

Is the Rim dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED dims on most standard trailing-edge and leading-edge dimmers (sold separately), so we can set it from full brightness down to a soft glow for the evening.

Which rooms suit this wall light?

We would use it in hallways, living rooms and bedrooms for accent and ambient light. At IP20 it is rated for dry indoor spaces only, so we would keep it away from bathrooms and kitchens with open steam.

What light does it give?

The integrated 23W LED gives 500 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, with a colour rendering index of 80 and a wide 120 degree beam that washes across the wall rather than spotlighting.

How does it fit?

It installs onto a standard UK back box, with the mains cable concealed behind the rectangular base plate at the bottom of the ring. It runs on 220-240V AC mains and no separate bulb is needed as the LED is built in.
