Description

We stock the Rim in black as our largest three-ring LED pendant light, measuring 1340mm across. Three interlocking aluminium rings in matt black each carry an integrated LED strip along the inner edge, together drawing 83W and putting out 1799 lumens of light. The two smaller rings sit at different angles around the largest ring, so the piece reads as a sculptural helix when you look up at it from below.

This is a centrepiece we would hang over a dining table, an island, or in a double-height hallway or open-plan living area where you have the ceiling height to carry it. At 1340mm wide it is built for a bigger room than the 600mm and 1200mm sizes in the range, and the combined output covers both ambient and task lighting across a generous dining or living space. You choose the mood on install: the light is available in 3000K warm white or cooler 4000K, and it dims on a compatible wall dimmer from full brightness down to a low glow.

The rings are powder-coated matt black aluminium with the LED strip recessed along the inner edge, so the light source itself is not staring straight down at you. It runs on 220-240V AC mains, throws a wide 120 degree beam, has a CRI of 80, and is rated IP20 for indoor use in dry rooms. Bulbs are not needed as the LEDs are built in, and the suspension cables let you set the drop to suit your ceiling.

How big is the Rim 1340mm and what size room does it suit?

It measures 1340mm across at its widest, so it is the largest in the range. We would use it over a large dining table or island, or in an open-plan or double-height space with the ceiling height to carry it. If you have a smaller room, the 600mm and 1200mm sizes may suit better.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED dims on a compatible wall dimmer (sold separately), so you can set it from full brightness down to a soft glow for dining or evenings.

Do I need to buy bulbs, and what colour is the light?

No bulbs are needed as the LEDs are built into the rings. The light comes in 3000K warm white or a cooler 4000K, drawing 83W for 1799 lumens with a CRI of 80 and a wide 120 degree spread.

Can it be fitted in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20 for indoor use in dry rooms only, so it is not suitable for bathrooms or anywhere exposed to moisture. It hangs from suspension cables you can set to suit your ceiling drop.
