Description

We stock the Rim as a 600mm circular LED ceiling light in matt black, built around a continuous ring of integrated LED set into an aluminium frame. It draws 35W and gives around 1000 lumens, and you choose between warm white (3000K) or cool white (4000K) depending on the version you select. The 120 degree beam spreads the light widely and evenly, so you get general room lighting rather than a focused downward pool.

We think of the Rim as a main ceiling light for bedrooms, home offices, hallways and smaller living rooms. Its low-profile design sits close to the ceiling, which suits rooms with lower ceiling heights where a hanging pendant would drop too far into the space. The wide circular spread helps keep corners lit without harsh hotspots, and the matt black finish settles neatly into both contemporary and industrial interiors.

The Rim is dimmable, so on a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer (sold separately) you can take it from full brightness down to a softer level. The aluminium body helps carry heat away from the LED array while keeping the visible profile slim. It runs on 220 to 240V mains, carries a CRI of 80 and an IP20 rating, which means it is made for dry indoor rooms and is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.

Frequently Asked

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED dims on a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer (sold separately), so you can set it from full brightness down to a soft glow to suit the room and time of day.

Can I choose warm or cool white?

Yes. The Rim is offered in warm white (3000K) or cool white (4000K), so you can pick the tone that fits the room before you order. It gives around 1000 lumens at 35W.

Which rooms is it suited to?

We recommend it as a main light for bedrooms, home offices, hallways and smaller living rooms. Its 120 degree beam gives wide, even coverage, and the low-profile shape works well where ceilings sit lower.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. The Rim carries an IP20 rating, so it is made for dry indoor rooms only. It should not be fitted in bathrooms, wet areas or anywhere outdoors.
