Description

We stock the Rim as a 400mm circular LED ceiling light in brushed brass. It is built as an aluminium ring finished in low-sheen brushed brass, with an integrated 24W LED running the full circumference. The light passes down through a white acrylic diffuser on the underside and up onto the ceiling through the open centre, giving 1060 lumens in a wide 120 degree spread. You can run it at 2600K warm white or 3500K neutral white to suit the room.

At 400mm across, the Rim ring works as the main light in hallways, bedrooms, kitchens and dining rooms where you want a clean geometric fitting rather than a pendant. The 24W output gives enough ambient light for rooms of roughly 12 to 15 square metres as the primary fitting, or tops up natural light in larger open-plan spaces. We would pair it with ceilings of 2.4m or above so the upward glow has room to work. If you need the same look at a bigger scale, we also stock the Rim ring in a 600mm size.

The LED is dimmable on a compatible LED dimmer (sold separately), so you can drop it from full brightness to a soft evening level. The brushed brass sits between polished and antique brass in tone and reflects less light than polished metal, and it runs on standard 220-240V mains at a CRI of 80. The IP20 rating means it is for dry indoor rooms only, so it is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.

It runs at either 2600K warm white or 3500K neutral white, giving 1060 lumens from the integrated 24W LED, so you can set a cosy or a cleaner tone to suit the room.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The integrated LED dims on a compatible LED dimmer (sold separately), so you can take it from full brightness down to a soft glow for the evening.

What size room does the 400mm suit?

The 24W output gives enough ambient light for a room of around 12 to 15 square metres as the main fitting, and we would use it with ceilings of 2.4m or above. For larger spaces we also stock the Rim ring in 600mm.

Can I use it in a bathroom?
