Description

The Rigoberta pendant light is a bar of matt black iron tube with an opal glass globe at each end, joined at its centre to a short upright stem in a crisp T shape. Each globe is 10cm across and softens the lamp inside into an even, diffused glow, so the light reads as two white spheres either side of a clean black line. The fitting measures 22cm tall and 49.5cm wide, and it hangs on a 1.5m textile cable from an 8cm round canopy. It takes two G9 lamps, one in each globe, and we recommend G9 LED lamps for it.

Rated IP20, it is a fitting for dry rooms indoors, and it works well wherever a long, low line of light suits the space. We like it over a small dining table or a breakfast table for two, where its 49.5cm width sits comfortably within the tabletop, and over a desk in a home office, where the two globes spread light along the work surface. It also suits a bedroom, a living room or a hallway that wants something more graphic than a single shade. The modern look, all black lines and white glass, sits easily with plain wood, pale walls and simple furniture. It runs on 220-240V mains and is for a qualified electrician to install.

The structure is iron in a matt black finish, the globes are opal glass, and the textile cable keeps the line neat from canopy to fitting. It carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, hang it so the bar runs along the length of a table rather than across it, and choose a warm white G9 LED to give the opal glass its softest tone.
