Description

This modern pendant light from our Rigoberta range has a simple, balanced shape: a short gold stem drops to a horizontal gold bar, and at each end of the bar sits a globe of alabaster. It is 49.5cm across and 22cm tall, with two 10cm alabaster globes, and hangs on a 1.5m gold textile cable from an 8cm round canopy. Alabaster is a natural stone, and each globe is cream with warm amber veining, so when the two G9 lamps are on, the light comes through the stone rather than from a bare bulb.

Its long, low shape makes it a natural choice over a dining table or a sideboard, where the two globes sit either side of the centre line, and it works just as well in a hallway, a living room or a bedroom that wants something calm and well made overhead. The gold finish and veined stone suit a modern scheme with warm woods, plaster walls or soft neutrals, and on its 1.5m cable it can hang low over a table or sit higher in a hall. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The structure is iron in a gold finish, with a gold textile cable to match and the alabaster globes set at either end. Because each globe is natural stone, no two are marked quite alike, which is much of its charm.
