Description

The Rigoberta Super Curved Direct is a modern wall light made from a matt black iron tube, bent into a tight inverted U with an opal glass globe at the foot of each arm. A round wall plate sits within the curve, so the frame appears to float off the wall. The two globes hang side by side, glowing softly as the opal glass diffuses the light. It is 23cm tall, 26cm wide and stands 12cm out from the wall, and each globe is 10cm across. It takes two G9 lamps, one in each globe, and G9 LED lamps are recommended.

With only 12cm of projection, it sits neatly where a deeper wall light would get in the way: either side of a bed, along a hallway or landing, or in a pair flanking a fireplace, sideboard or console table in a living room. The opal globes give a gentle, ambient light rather than a focused beam, which makes it a good choice for bedrooms, snugs and dining areas where you want a soft glow on the wall. Its curve has a sense of humour, so it suits anyone who likes modern design with a playful edge. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The structure is iron in a matt black finish, and the two globes are opal glass. It runs on 220-240V mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install, and it carries a 3 year guarantee. We like it most on a white or pale plaster wall, where the black tube draws a clean line and the two globes read like full stops.
