Description

The Rigoberta Super Curved pendant is a modern two light alabaster globe pendant shaped around one bold curve. A gold arm bends into a smooth, upturned U, and from each end hangs a 10cm sphere of alabaster, so the two globes sit side by side at the same height. The fitting is 35cm tall and 26cm across, and it hangs on a 1.5m gold textile cable from an 8cm ceiling canopy. Alabaster is a natural stone, and each globe carries soft amber veining through its pale body, which gives the piece a quiet, organic warmth against the clean line of the gold.

Being rated IP20, it is for dry rooms only, and that leaves plenty of places it suits well. Hung either side of a bed, a pair frees up the bedside table; on its own it gives a hallway or landing a modern focal point, and over a small dining table or a desk the two globes frame the surface from a single drop. It takes two G9 lamps, and the maker recommends G9 LED lamps no longer than 60mm. It runs on 220-240V mains and, like any mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install.

The structure is iron with a gold finish, and it is carried on a gold textile cable, so the metalwork and cable read as one colour from ceiling to stone.
