Description

Our Rigoberta wall light pairs one opal glass globe with a slim upright tube that rises from a round plate on the wall, a simple modern shape with a playful look. The iron structure is finished in matt white, and the opal glass gives the globe a soft, even glow. It stands 28.5cm tall and projects 12cm from the wall, with a 10cm globe at the top. Its lamp holder takes one G9 lamp, and a G9 LED is the one we recommend for it.

Because it is rated IP20, it is for dry rooms only, and that leaves plenty of places where it earns its keep. The shallow 12cm projection suits hallways and landings, where a wall light needs to stay out of the way of passing shoulders. In a bedroom, a pair either side of the bed gives gentle light for winding down, and in a living room it adds a soft accent beside a sofa, an armchair or a fireplace. Its clean, rounded lines sit happily in modern homes, and the matt white finish blends into pale walls so the lit globe becomes the focus. It also works well in a study or a dining room where you want low background light rather than a bright overhead fitting.

The structure is iron with a matt white finish, and the globe is opal glass, a pairing that keeps the look light and uncluttered. It runs on 220-240V mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install, and it carries a 3 year guarantee. For a styling note, set it against a darker painted wall, where the white globe stands out clearly, or line up two or three along a corridor for an easy rhythm of light.
