Description
The Rigoberta is a curved wall light that sends its glow back onto the wall rather than straight out into the room. A matt black iron tube bends in a smooth half circle, and flat round opal glass discs sit along it, each disc shade 8cm across. Light gathers behind the discs and spreads across the wall as a soft, indirect wash, so you see a calm glow rather than a bright bulb. The fitting is 32cm tall and 50cm wide, and it projects only 9cm from the wall, which keeps it slim enough for a hallway or landing. It uses the GX53 lamp cap.
We think it suits a living room, bedroom, dining room or landing, anywhere you want gentle background light in a modern setting. Because the light is thrown onto the wall, it sets a mood rather than lighting a page, so pair it with a lamp or ceiling light where you need to read or work. Above a sofa or a bed it frames the space with a soft curve of light, and in a long hallway it marks the way without glare. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It is a switched fitting, working on and off from an ordinary wall switch rather than a dimmer.
The structure is iron, finished in matt black, with opal glass for the discs, which softens the light as it leaves them. The dark finish reads crisp against white or pale walls and quieter against deep colours. It runs on 220-240V mains and is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, centre it above a headboard or a console table, or hang two either side of a doorway, and let a plain painted wall do the rest of the work.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Rigoberta wall light take?
It uses the GX53 lamp cap, a flat lamp format that sits neatly behind the opal glass discs of this shallow fitting.
Can I dim the Rigoberta wall light?
It is an on-off switched fitting, so it is designed to work from an ordinary wall switch rather than a dimmer.
How big is the Rigoberta wall light?
It is 32cm tall and 50cm wide and projects 9cm from the wall, and each opal glass disc shade is 8cm across.
What kind of light does it give?
It gives indirect light: the discs throw their glow back onto the wall, creating a soft background wash rather than a direct beam for reading.
Can it go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, such as a living room, bedroom, landing or hallway.
What is the Rigoberta wall light made of?
The structure is iron in a matt black finish, and the discs are opal glass, which softens the light they give onto the wall.
