Description

The Rigoberta Curved Direct is a modern wall light made from a single iron tube in matt black, bent into a smooth half-circle arch with an opal glass globe at each end. The two globes give a soft, even glow rather than a hard point of light, and the matt black keeps the line of the arch crisp against a pale wall. A round canopy just inside the top of the arch fixes it to the wall. The whole fitting is 34cm tall and 52cm wide, and it projects just 12cm from the wall. Each opal glass shade is a 10cm sphere. It takes two G9 lamps, one in each globe, and G9 LED lamps are the recommended choice.

Rated IP20, it is for dry rooms only, and a living room, bedroom, hallway or dining room all suit it well. Its width makes it a good choice above a sofa, a sideboard or a bed, where the two globes frame the space beneath them, and a pair either side of a fireplace or a doorway looks considered without fuss. Because it projects only 12cm, it sits comfortably on a landing or in a narrower hallway where a deeper fitting would get in the way.
