Description

A square cushion cover, 50cm by 50cm, with a thick velvet front in brown and a back of natural linen. A flat flange runs right round the outside, so the seam sits in from the edge and leaves a plain border on all four sides. The velvet is crushed, which sets the pile running in different directions across the face, and the brown reads darker where the pile lies flat and paler where it stands up.

At 50cm square this is a full sized cushion for the back of a sofa or an armchair rather than a small one to fill a gap. Set on a sofa beside the 60 by 40cm size in the same brown, the flat border keeps each cover reading as its own block instead of running into the one next to it. The cover measures 1cm flat, so it arrives as a cover and takes its shape from the inner that goes into it.

The front is velvet and the back is natural linen, and the fabric is woven on a loom. The cover comes in two sizes, this 50cm square and a 60 by 40cm rectangle. The inner is not included, and feather inners are sold separately.
