Description

The Reiko is a compact dome flush ceiling light that pairs a terracotta aluminium shade with a base of natural ash wood. The dome is smooth and rounded, widening to an open rim that directs light down into the room, and above it sits a short, cylindrical wood base that fixes flush to the ceiling, with no stem. It takes one E27 lamp, the familiar large screw-in cap, so a wide choice of bulbs will fit it. The whole fitting is 16cm tall and 21cm across, and the wood base is 11.5cm across.

Because it has no stem and stands only 16cm tall, the Reiko suits rooms where a hanging pendant would feel in the way: a hallway, a landing, a box room, a bedroom or a study with a lower ceiling. The warm terracotta brings a soft, earthy colour overhead, and the pale ash keeps the look light, which suits modern and Scandinavian interiors alike. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It works from your wall switch as a simple on-off fitting on a 220-240V supply, and as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install.

The shade is aluminium with a smooth terracotta finish, and the base is natural ash wood, its grain running round the short cylinder, so a solid colour meets a natural texture in one small fitting. It carries a 3 year guarantee.
