Description

The Reiko is a dome ceiling light that fixes flush to the ceiling with no stem. Its green aluminium shade sits directly beneath a round base of natural ash wood, and the open underside of the dome sends its light downward into the room. It is a compact fitting, 16cm tall and 21cm across, with an 11.5cm ash base, and its single E27 lamp holder takes one standard Edison screw bulb. The pale wood gives a little warmth to the cool green, and the whole piece has the clean, simple lines of modern Scandinavian design.

Because it is only 16cm tall, it is a sensible choice wherever headroom is short: a hallway, a landing, a box room or a bedroom with a low ceiling. Its modest size suits smaller rooms, and in a larger space it works well as one of a row along a corridor or over a dining table. The green and pale ash suit modern and Scandinavian interiors, and look just as at home in a study or a child's bedroom as in a living room.
