Description

The Regina is a modern wall light built around a single opal glass globe set against a half-moon of grey terrazzo. The terrazzo structure is made from recycled plastic and flecked with white across its Terrazzo grey surface. It is stepped in a series of concentric rings around the globe, so the curved edge reads as layered rather than flat. The 10cm opal glass globe shade softens the light into a gentle glow rather than a bright point. The whole fitting is 25cm tall and 48cm wide, and it projects 12.5cm from the wall, a broad, low shape that sits close to the surface.

It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and that still leaves plenty of places for it. Use a pair either side of a bed in place of bedside lamps, run a few along a hallway or landing, or set one above a sideboard in a dining room. Its width suits a long stretch of wall that needs more than a small sconce, and the modern lines sit well in a contemporary home that likes colour and texture without anything loud. On its own it makes a focal point; in a row along a corridor it gives a soft, even rhythm of light.
