Description

The Reflek is a 104cm linear outdoor LED wall light in white powder-coated aluminium with an integrated 20W 3000K LED behind a glass diffuser. The fitting mounts flush to the wall with a 50mm projection, casting indirect light upwards and downwards along the wall surface rather than straight out into the space.

Designed for external walls, covered porches, sheltered balconies and garden boundary walls, the Reflek provides accent lighting along architectural features or path edges. The IP54 rating protects the internals against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for UK outdoor installation in locations with some shelter from direct rain exposure. The 104cm length suits doorways, single garage doors and sections of external wall where a shorter linear fitting is needed.

The white powder-coated finish is baked onto the aluminium body to resist fading and corrosion from UV exposure and temperature cycling. The glass diffuser is sealed into the housing to prevent moisture entering the LED chamber. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light that suits residential exteriors and hospitality settings without the cooler blue tone of higher kelvin ratings. The 20W LED output is fixed and non-dimmable.

Can this be used in exposed outdoor locations?

The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes, making the Reflek suitable for covered porches, sheltered balconies and walls under eaves. For fully exposed positions subject to driving rain, an IP65 or higher rated fitting is recommended.

Does it cast light forwards or along the wall?

The Reflek casts indirect light upwards and downwards along the wall surface. The glass diffuser faces the wall rather than outwards, so the fitting functions as wall-wash accent lighting rather than area illumination.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 20W LED is integrated into the fitting and not user-replaceable. Ideal Lux LED modules are designed for a rated lifespan of 25,000-30,000 hours, equivalent to approximately 10-15 years of typical outdoor use.

What fixings are needed for installation?

The Reflek requires wall fixings appropriate to the substrate (masonry, brick, rendered blockwork). Stainless steel screws and wall plugs suitable for external use are recommended. The fitting must be wired by a qualified electrician to comply with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
