Description

The Recinto is a 40cm diameter crystal chandelier with six E27 bulb positions arranged beneath a circular drum of rectangular cut crystal plates, suspended from a polished chrome canopy on adjustable steel cables. The crystal plates hang vertically around the perimeter of the drum, each one reflecting and refracting light from the concealed bulbs to produce prismatic colour scatter across walls and ceilings when lit.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living areas with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m, the Recinto provides both ambient light from the six bulbs and decorative sparkle from the crystal surround. The drop is adjustable between 25.8cm and 85.8cm on installation, allowing the chandelier to sit 700-900mm above a dining table or lower in a double-height entrance hall. The chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the cables conceal the electrical runs.

Each of the rectangular crystal plates is precision-cut to catch and split light at different angles depending on viewing position, so the chandelier appears to shift in brightness and colour scatter as you move around the room. The polished chrome frame and fittings provide a cool metallic contrast to the warm light produced by filament or warm-white LED E27 bulbs. The textured glass base beneath the bulbs diffuses direct glare while allowing the majority of light output to escape upwards into the crystal and downwards into the room.

What bulbs does the Recinto take?

The chandelier takes six E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to match the crystal's warm prismatic effect.

Is the chandelier dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs used. LED bulbs must be marked as dimmable and paired with an LED-compatible dimmer. Standard filament bulbs dim on most household dimmers without issue.

How is the drop adjusted?

The chandelier hangs on steel suspension cables that can be shortened during installation by trimming and re-terminating at the canopy. The minimum drop of 25.8cm is measured from ceiling to the top of the crystal drum, with the maximum drop extending to 85.8cm.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal plate gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or heavier deposits, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the metal fittings and do not use chemical sprays or polishes on the crystal.
