Description

The Rebeca is a single-light dome pendant with a wide, shallow aluminium shade in matt black and gold. It is matt black on the outside and gold on the inside, with a small gold collar where the textile cable meets the top of the dome. It is 14cm tall and 56cm across, so it reads as a broad, low dome rather than a deep bowl. It takes one E27 lamp, the standard large screw cap, which leaves the choice of brightness and colour of light to you. The light falls from the open rim, and the gold lining catches it as it leaves the shade.

At 56cm across, this is a pendant for a room with some space around it. It suits a dining table, where the wide dome sits comfortably over the length of the table. It also suits the centre of a living room or bedroom where one plain, modern fitting is wanted. It is an on-off fitting, run from an ordinary wall switch. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. Its clean lines sit easily with plain plaster, timber and warm neutral fabrics, and the black outer finish gives a crisp shape against a pale ceiling.
