Description

The Raisa is a single-light pendant built around a long horizontal arm, with a fabric drum shade hanging from one end and a textile cable looping down from the other. Its iron structure is finished in matt white, and the white fabric drum shade is 45cm across and 20cm tall, wide enough to bring a real presence to a room without heavy detailing. The whole fitting is 75cm tall, hung from a round ceiling canopy 10cm across. It takes one E27 lamp, the familiar large screw cap, so it accepts a wide choice of lamps.

Because the shade sits well out to one side of the stem, the Raisa is a good answer where the light needs to land away from the ceiling point: over a dining table that is not centred under it, beside a reading chair, or above a desk. It suits a modern, pared-back living room, dining room or bedroom, and anyone who likes the look of an arched floor lamp but wants the floor kept clear. The fabric drum keeps the lamp out of sight from most angles. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The structure is iron, the shade is fabric and the cable is textile, 1.5m of it, which looks far neater than plastic flex where it loops from the end of the arm. It is a simple on-off fitting, worked from your wall switch rather than a dimmer, and it runs on 220-240V mains, so a qualified electrician should install it. It carries a 3 year guarantee.
