Description

The Radial is a round ceiling canopy finished in White, 24.5cm across and 3.7cm tall. It holds and powers 3 or 4 pendants from one point on the ceiling, and it gives no light of its own. Inside sits a built-in 12W driver that takes the 230V mains supply and feeds the pendants hung from it at 24V DC, so the driver is part of the canopy rather than a separate box to house. The pendants are each sold separately, so you choose the ones to hang from it. The canopy is not dimmable, so the pendants it feeds simply switch on and off.

We would hang it wherever you want a small cluster of pendants rather than a single drop: over a dining table, at the turn of a stairwell, in a hallway or above a sideboard in a living room. One neat plate on the ceiling is tidier than three or four separate roses, and every cable starts from the same place. It has no IP rating, so it is an indoor fitting for dry rooms. To complete it you need the pendants themselves and the accessory for hanging the electric cable, which is not included and is sold separately. With those in place, the canopy powers the whole group from one mains connection.

There is little to it beyond what it needs to do: a flat, round plate finished in White, slim at 3.7cm deep, with its fixing bracket behind it and the driver housed within. White keeps it quiet against most ceilings, so the eye goes to the pendants rather than to the fitting that holds them. Because it runs on 230V mains and is wired in, it is for a qualified electrician to install. Plan your 3 or 4 pendants first, then order the canopy alongside them, so everything is ready to go up together.

Frequently Asked

Does the Radial canopy give any light of its own?

No. It has no light of its own. It holds and powers 3 or 4 pendants, each sold separately, fed at 24V DC by its built-in 12W driver.

How many pendants can hang from this canopy?

It takes 3 or 4 pendants, each bought separately, all hanging from the one round plate and fed by the driver inside it.

Do I need a separate driver for the pendants?

No. A 12W driver is built into the canopy. It turns the 230V mains supply into the 24V DC that feeds the pendants hung from it.

Is the Radial canopy dimmable?

No. The canopy is not dimmable, so the pendants it powers switch on and off rather than running through a dimmer.

How big is the canopy?

It is 24.5cm across and 3.7cm tall. It is a slim round plate that sits close to the ceiling above a cluster of pendants.

How long will it take to arrive?

It is made to order for you, so it is usually delivered in 4 to 8 weeks.
