Description

A linen throw 200cm long and 140cm wide, woven in two tones: a band of pale off-white across roughly a third of the length and a warmer oatmeal over the rest, with the join running straight across the width. It finishes in a long knotted fringe. The yarn is spun by hand, so it runs thick and thin along its length and the weave has an open, stubby surface.

At 140cm by 200cm it covers a two seat sofa or lies across the foot of a double bed with an overhang on each side. Draped over the arm of a sofa, the fringe hangs clear of the floor. At 2.3kg it has real weight for its size, so it hangs in folds rather than lifting. The band of off-white sits at one end, which shows when the throw is folded over an arm and disappears when it is laid out flat.

The linen is recycled and the yarn is spun by hand, which is what gives the weave its uneven, stubby surface. Linen breathes and wears well. Puli cushion covers are made in the same recycled linen, at 50 by 50cm and 60 by 40cm.
