Description
The PowerMaster 6ft NCF LED batten is a 1800mm weatherproof linear fitting with an integrated 27W LED module delivering 3,200 lumens at 4000K cool white. The IP65-rated polycarbonate housing with stainless steel spring clips protects the LED array from dust ingress and water jets, making it suitable for outdoor canopies, car washes, garages and workshop environments where condensation or spray is present.
Designed for ceiling or wall mounting in commercial, industrial and utility spaces, the batten provides broad-coverage illumination across workshops, warehouses, plant rooms, storage areas and external covered walkways. The 120° beam angle spreads light evenly along the 1800mm length without dark spots between fittings, reducing the number of units needed to light a given floor area. The non-corrosive fitting (NCF) designation indicates stainless steel fixings and corrosion-resistant materials throughout, extending service life in damp or coastal environments.
The integrated LED operates on mains voltage without external drivers, simplifying installation to a standard ceiling rose or junction box connection. The polycarbonate diffuser softens the light output while maintaining the 120lm/W efficacy rating, reducing glare on reflective surfaces in garages or metalworking shops. The fitting is rated for Zones 1, 2 and 3 bathroom installation but not Zone 0 (inside the bath or shower enclosure itself). At 27W the batten draws approximately one-fifth the power of an equivalent 150W fluorescent tube fitting while delivering comparable light output.

Frequently Asked
Is this batten suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The IP65 rating protects against dust and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for covered outdoor applications such as canopies, carports and external walkways. It is not designed for fully exposed positions without overhead protection from direct rainfall.
What does NCF mean?
NCF stands for non-corrosive fitting. The batten uses stainless steel clips and corrosion-resistant materials throughout, extending service life in damp environments, coastal areas or spaces with chemical exposure such as car washes and treatment plants.
Can it be installed in a bathroom?
Yes, in Zones 1, 2 and 3 only. Zone 1 is the area directly above a bath or shower to a height of 2.25m. Zone 2 extends 600mm beyond the bath or shower. Zone 3 is the area beyond Zone 2. The batten cannot be installed in Zone 0, which is inside the bath or shower enclosure itself.
Does it require an external driver?
No. The LED module operates directly on 230V mains and connects to a standard ceiling rose or junction box without needing a separate driver unit.
