Description
The PowerMaster 4ft 40W LED batten is a weatherproof linear fitting with an IP65-rated polycarbonate enclosure, stainless steel mounting clips, and an integrated 40W LED delivering 4800 lumens at 4000K cool white. The NCF (non-corrosive fitting) construction resists rust in damp and coastal environments, making it suitable for outdoor installation as well as internal workshops, warehouses and garages.
Designed for ceiling or wall mounting in areas requiring high ambient light levels, the batten provides a 120-degree beam angle across its 1200mm length. The IP65 rating protects the LED driver and light source from dust ingress and water jets from any direction, allowing installation in car washes, covered outdoor walkways, cold stores, plant rooms and agricultural buildings. The fitting is suitable for bathroom zones 1, 2 and 3 but not zone 0 (inside the bath or shower enclosure itself).
The batten runs on 230V mains and requires no separate driver box or external ballast — the LED driver is integrated inside the housing. The polycarbonate diffuser distributes light evenly along the length of the fitting while protecting the LED strip from impact. Stainless steel clips at each end provide corrosion-resistant fixing points and the entire unit weighs approximately 1.2kg once installed. The cool white 4000K colour temperature produces neutral daylight-toned light that renders colours accurately in task-focused environments.
The LED is rated at 120 lumens per watt efficiency and is non-dimmable. The fitting includes flicker-free driver circuitry, reducing eye strain during extended use in workspaces. PowerMaster rates the LED lifespan at 30,000 hours at full output, which translates to approximately 10 years of use at 8 hours per day.

Frequently Asked
Can this batten be used outdoors?
Yes. The IP65 rating provides protection against dust and water jets, making it suitable for covered outdoor areas such as car ports, covered walkways, canopies and eaves. Avoid prolonged direct exposure to standing water or submersion.
Is the batten dimmable?
No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming and the fitting should be connected to a standard on/off switch only.
What fixing method is used?
The batten mounts via stainless steel clips at each end, which accept screws or bolts into ceiling joists, wall battens or concrete. The clips are corrosion-resistant and the fitting can be mounted horizontally or vertically depending on the installation requirement.
What does NCF mean?
NCF stands for non-corrosive fitting. The housing and clips use materials that resist rust and corrosion in damp, humid or coastal environments, extending the lifespan of the fitting in challenging conditions.
